“I always knew I had a passion for teaching but it became really apparent during my graduate work, especially when assisting the human sexuality class,” relates Ashley Thompson, of Turned On. “I have a passion for human relationships, especially intimate relationships and I love being able to provide people with this information.”
In a time when the public perception of sex work is changing and, possibling, evolving, the media is playing a crucial role in how that perception can be shaped. Do television news shows and newspapers continue to use the same old descriptions of sex work in images and words? Or should outlets work to actively create a better image for those doing sex work.
'Cock your hat—angles are attitudes.' - Frank Sinatra
A great trick to infuse your images with attitude is to get cozy with angles. Sometimes they help to make your subject look more flattering, sometimes they draw the eye in a more interesting direction than a straight on shot would and sometimes they help add a subtle punch to a picture that takes it from 'meh' to marvelous.

We've all had bad sex. It really is unavoidable and is, generally, not anyone else's fault. If you compare sex to a dance, then maybe it is because you both have slightly different rhythm. If you think of sex as a fine meal, then maybe one of you prefers more salt and the other more pepper. If you think of sex as sex, well, the list is long with what could go wrong. Sexual fantasy is a strange and wonderful thing. It can take us to unlimited new levels of pleasure. It can also take us to the depths of confusion and frustration. When we put our minds to a though other than our reality, we put ourselves in line for sensations we may or may not be ready for.
We've talked tech, we've talked modeling and we've talked concept. Now let's talk about the heart of the matter: capturing images of intimate moments. Or, in less flowery language: how to put the dirt into the dirty photos.
Maybe you are looking to get shots that look like they belong in Hustler. Perhaps your goal is to present the allure of a person pleasuring him or herself It could be that you wish to capture multiple people locked in an erotic embrace. Each scenario will require elements specific to that shot, but there are a few things that will be universal.
I rarely spent summers at home growing up. My family had a cottage in the same campground as my grandparents lived, so I often spent most, if not all of my vacation up north. When my parents were there, I stayed with them. When they weren’t, I stayed with my grandparents. Considering we were right near a lake and I had a number of good friends who did pretty much the same thing, it was great. I had a lot of fun.
